TAG Heuer Manufacture

This video is beautiful… I love the mix of technology and craftsmanship displayed… The machine is doing a part but you can feel that human are irreplaceable for some task.

It also makes you understand why some of those watch can worth a lot of money isn’t it?

Thank you Tag Heuer for the visit!

The Inverted Bike Shop… 718 Cyclery

718 Cyclery is so inline with my current business vision! I use to love money making process and all in business model where margin was the key but I’m running away!

I’m still in love with business, trade and other process but I move to a more quality makes money approach than the let’s make money one. For a simple reason… Quality and individualism!

Look at this shop they look at what you want and adapt their product to you so the result is adequate to what you expect! Currently in most business they tell you what you are supposed to need which lead to rubbish because they don’t know you! I’m fed up with the marketing that push you to buy this or that for reason that are not essential… Why would you buy a Ferrari if you stay in the city so why Ferrari is not making the best city car?

718 Cyclery on the other side answer this question by asking you what you want to do and deliver the right tool for that and I love that! Won’t you?

If you pass by Strasbourg just get in and say hi! You will always be welcome like you like it! Unless they are in a bad day but we are all human after all!

The dream team!

3×1 or the bespoke jeans experience…

Do you imagine entering a retail space and starting by selecting a denim between 135 of the best possible?

3×1 is a store in Soho, New York, probably close by the Nike Mercer Bespoke lab where you can build your own pair of jeans. The idea for me is just such a candy!

Bespoke pair of jeans made out of the best garments… A pair that is just following your shape and have all the details that you dream of!

When you know that you can even follow its manufacturing in the shop damn this is extreme dopeness… So now when I’ll go to New York I know I will do everything possible to stop at two address on Mercer Street!

Soundcloud and Chess Boxing…

Interesting to meet the guy behind soundcloud which is one of the best idea of the last 5 years on the internet!

His pal that created Chess Boxing is also really interesting even if I would have told him to try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as it would have match his expectation I’m pretty sure…

Supreme…

When the controversial young rapper Tyler, The Creator won the award for Best New Artist at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in August, he offered an enthusiastic, yet expletive-laden acceptance speech. “Yo, I’m excited as fuck right now, yo,” he said. “I wanted this shit since I was nine. I’m about to cry.” But with MTV’s censors on high alert, the speech was broadcast more like this: “Yo, I’m excited as - -— --, yo. I wanted ---- – —- --. - -— - --.”

With the audio missing for about a minute straight to avoid any profanities and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) fines, viewers were left with no choice but to absorb Tyler’s image in mute. Clad in skinny dark jeans, an oversize tie-dye T-shirt with an image of a cat’s face on it, and a Supreme baseball hat with a leopard print brim, Tyler, who is 20 years old, was the only artist at the award show who could be said to actually embody how young people dress today. No outfit made from meat, no fancy three-piece suit with a cocked fedora, no oversize bling: Tyler looked exactly how certain young men at this very moment choose to wear their clothes on the streets all over the globe.

Check the rest of the article on Business Of Fashion!

Supreme has grown threw the year without making bigbang noise like others did… without being trendy as others went… without any death and resurrection like others did…

I do have to say that they have been in my universe for a while (before the new century) and as a brand I really recognize what they did so check the rest of the article and the 2nd part coming soon!

A Factory in Brooklyn…

Quality products are so different than mass made ones… Handmade gives a better feel to products… so let’s get back to the roots.

Ok there is place for everyone but local production of good products should take a bigger place than they are. If quality, design and price is right I would prefer to buy a local made jacket or shirt than one made in any other country…

The factory in this clip is a bit the resume of this idea. Do things right and you will stay in business!
